Lawsen was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) while in high school. POTS is described as syndrome when basic functions of our body are refusing to work the way they suppose to, more information can be found here.
She and her mother Gwen talked to me about months of uncertainty that preceded the diagnosis, life with untreatable condition that followed the diagnosis and immense amount of love, compassion and reconciliation along the journey.
